Captain 2nd rank N.P.Egypko

Born on October 27 (November 9), 1903 in the city of Nikolaev (Ukraine) in a working-class family. The Ukrainian. He worked as a mechanic at the Nikolaev shipyard. He served in the Red Army from May 1919 to October 1920. Participant of the Civil War. He served in the USSR Navy since 1925. He participated in the National Revolutionary War of the Spanish People of 1936-1939 from May 1937 to August 1938. He commanded the submarine "S-2" of the Navy of republican Spain. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. From April to September 1941, he was commander of the 1st Submarine Brigade of the Baltic Fleet, and from September 1941, commander of the combined submarine Brigade of the Baltic Fleet. 

From January 1948 to December 1966, he supervised the work of the USSR Naval Schools (the course of the K.E. Naval Academy). Voroshilova, 2nd Baltic Higher Naval School (VVMU) in Kaliningrad, head of the Higher Naval School of Fleet Mechanics in Odessa, head of the 1st VVMU of Scuba diving, head of the VVMU of underwater navigation named after Lenin Komsomol). Died on July 6, 1985. He was buried in St. Petersburg at the Serafimovsky Cemetery. 

Vice Admiral (02/22/1963). He was awarded 3 Orders of Lenin (12/23/1935; 02/22/1939; 11/15/1950), 3 Orders of the Red Banner (12/22/1937; 11/13/1944; 11/15/1954), 3 Orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree (07/22/1944; 07/08/1945; 03/11/1985), the Order of the Red Star (04/03/1936), medals, and foreign orders of the Partisan Star of the 2nd degree (Yugoslavia; 08/05/1946), Virtuti Military 5th class (Poland; 1946). He was awarded a nominal weapon twice (1931, 1953).
