The exhibition in Hall 7A is dedicated to a special military operation On February 24, 2022, at 05:30 Moscow time, Russian state television channels began broadcasting Vladimir Putin's address: "I have decided to conduct a special military operation. Its goal is to protect people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years..." This is how the start of a Special Military Operation (SVO) was announced.
The exhibition presents elements of weapons and uniforms of the warring parties. The display cases are located opposite each other on opposite walls. In the enemy section, you can see objects that have become tools in the hands of politicians who instill hatred of Russia in the population of their country. These are chevrons and flags with Nazi symbols, propaganda literature, and even a history textbook for elementary school students. Above all this, a symbol of the inferiority of such a policy hangs on the wall – a damaged and mangled drone, called "Baba Yaga", brought from the battlefield.
The showcases dedicated to Russia represent weapons, uniforms, awards, banners and insignia, items of spiritual content (icons, prayer books) belonging to the soldiers of the Marine Corps units currently fighting for Russia. Along with the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great, the Suvorov Charitable Foundation, the I Have the Honor Officer's Club, NPO Special Materials JSC, and officers of the Western Military District took part in the creation of the exhibition.
