Not only the communist party and government delegations visited the cruiser, but also some outstanding personalities.
On September 21, 1961 the cruiser was visited by the Soviet cosmonauts Yu.A. Gagarin and G.S. Titov.
In 1962, the cruiser was visited by the cosmonauts P.R. Popovich and A.G. Nikolaev.
On September 7, 1956, in the harbour of Sukhumi, the cruiser was visited by the President of Indonesia Sukarno, and earlier – by the King of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I.
