Exibition at the Central Naval Museum. The exhibition was opened in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On April 18, 2019, an exhibition dedicated to the history of the political bodies of the army and Navy, which marks the 100th anniversary, was opened at the Central Naval Museum. The exhibition features objects, documents and photographs of various years from the collection of CNM.

March 28, 2019 in the Central naval Museum opened an exhibition dedicated to the 195th anniversary of the birth of Alexei Bogolyubov (1824-1896) – a naval officer, a famous artist, an active promoter of Russian culture and a connoisseur of new directions of European art.

In the Central naval Museum on the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland day began to work exhibition "Named after Ushakov and Nakhimov", the opening of which is timed to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of military awards of The Navy of the USSR.

2019 marks 310 years since the Foundation of the collection of the Central naval Museum (CVMM) — one of the largest and oldest Maritime museums in the world. The history of the Museum has long been an integral part of the history of the national fleet. At the jubilee exhibition, the history of CVMM is presented as a process of forming its Museum collections, which made CVMM the national Maritime Museum of Russia, the "Treasury of the Russian fleet", the Keeper of its traditions and military glory. The chronological framework of the exhibition covers the history of the collection of CVMM from the first "half-models" of the era of Peter I to the last most valuable acquisitions. A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to the work of the employees of the Workshop of marine painters, working at the Central naval Museum since 1952.

The Central Naval Museum presented the exhibition "Heroes of mercy and self-sacrifice. On the 110th anniversary of the rescue of Russian sailors of the inhabitants of Messina", dedicated to the sad anniversary of the earthquake that befell more than a century ago, Sicily and destroyed the city of Messina. Terrible destruction claimed thousands of lives in Calabria in southern Italy. To help the victims came the crews of ships of the Midshipman detachment of the Baltic fleet.

October 25, 2018 in the Central naval Museum opened a temporary exhibition " on the way to the Franco-Russian Union. To the 125th anniversary of the Russian squadron's visit to Toulon."

On May 18, 2018 the Central Naval Museum has opened an exhibition which dedicated to some pages of the history of Russian shipwrecks.

On April 19, 2018 the Central Naval Museum has opened an exhibition which dedicated to the history of the origin and work of the Russian Lighthouse.

History knows many examples of woman's service at sea and in the fleet. During the Great Northern Expedition of 1733-1743, a commander of one of the detachments was Lieutenant Vasilii Pronchishchev; his young wife Tatyana shipped out together with him, which was the first case of its kind in the history of the great Arctic expeditions.

The Decree on the establishment of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Fleet (WPRN) was passed by the Council of People's Commissars on January 29, 1918 (February 11, new style). This decree, as well as the Decree on organization of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army (WPRA), published on January 15 (28) of the same year, laid the foundation for the establishment of a new type of armed forces - the army and the fleet of the workers and peasants.

It is difficult to overestimate the tremendous importance of the Navy in the history of Russia. The Central Naval Museum is a treasury of relics pertaining to historical battles and great victories, development of marine science and technological progress. However, the passion for the sea in the fate of people who decided to devote their life to fleet plays no less important role. Engendered in the young years, the love for the sea is retained through all one’s life and manifests itself not only in a longstanding service, but also in minor details. The exhibition "The Fleet in Miniature" is devoted to the "private" history of the fleet, presenting personal household items from the collection of the Central Naval Museum.

On October 19 2017, the Central Naval Museum and the Submarine Research Centre under the Russian Geographical Society opened the exhibition "Plunging into the dark. Dedicated to 135th anniversary of the first national diving school in Kronshtadt".

On 28 September 2017, an exhibition Patron of the Russian Navy General Admiral Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich dedicated to the 190th anniversary of this outstanding figure of the Russian naval history was opened at the exhibition complex of the Central Naval Museum.

The exhibition displays the oldest English sailor shirt from the Central Naval Museum collection, the sailor shirt that once belonged to the historical and naval novelist Valentin Pikul and other exhibits, including painted portraits displaying the heroes of the Revolution in their naval glory.

The exhibition of the reserve collection of the Central Naval Museum is dedicated to the officer dagger that has always been – and still remains – the symbol of honor, valor, courage and bravery of the Russian naval officer.

The exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky presents a number of works that introduce the viewer only to a small part of the master's considerable heritage. However, the works illustrate the whole scope of his creativity, covering the period from Aivazovsky-the academician and ending with the year of his 80th birthday.

Over fifty unique photographs have been collected for the exposition, that convey the romance of the sea and the grandeur of the white-snow frigates. The photography process lasted for 20 years (!), and the covered geography encompasses the immense sea and ocean space of the both hemispheres.

Naval victories are achieved not only in battles. Becoming a great naval power, Russia actively participated in conquering the expanse of the World Ocean in the 18th – 19th centuries. The voyages of the Russian naval sailors marked a memorable page in the history of the Russian fleet.

AVictory Day exhibition “Submariners of the Baltic sea. 1941-1945" opened on April 28 at the branch of the Central Naval Museum Submarine D-2 “Narodovolets”.

On April 27 an exhibition was opened to commemorate the 150th anniversary of seascape painter Leonid Demyanovich Blinov in the halls of temporary exhibitions of the Central Naval Museum.

Exhibition “Leaders and Navy. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1917” opened on April 20, 2017 in Exhibition Halls of the Central Naval Museum.

“Invincible Ushakov” Exhibition was opened at the expo center of the Central Naval Museum on 2 March 2017.

On the threshold of Defender of the Fatherland Day Central Naval Museum opened the exhibition of artists-officers who served in the Navy of the Soviet Union. Arts, displayed at “Served the Soviet Union” Exhibition, were provided to the CNM from private collections, artistic studios and А.I. Marineskо Museum of Submarine Forces of Russia.

“Journey to Formosa. Unforgotten Heroes. 1875-2014. In the footsteps of the Journey to the Island of the Russian Naval Officer P.I. Ibis» Exhibition is introduced by the Central Naval Museum in cooperation with the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Russian State Navy Archive and Pobeda Development Center.

On December 1, 2016 the Central Naval Museum opened a unique exhibition «The Jewellers of the Imperial Court – to the Navy».

On November 3, 2016 the Central Naval Museum opened a photo exhibition «The Maritime Russia» dedicated to 320th anniversary of the Russian Navy.

The exhibition marking the 150th birth anniversary of the seascape painter N. D. Prokofiev opened on the 16th of June 2016 at the Central Naval Museum. It features the artist’s drawings and watercolors portraying the ships of the Russian navy. The exposition has been complemented with some items from the CNM reserve collection, which are directly connected to the ships that the painter dedicated his work to or portray the structure and design of the ships built in the late XIX or the early XX century.

The exhibition "A brilliant officer of Marine gave" is devoted to the history of the officer naval uniform and is dedicated to the "Night of Museums".

At the exhibition you will see models of ships and submarines built before the Revolution: the battleship cruiser "Admiral Lazarev" (1869), "Admiral Nakhimov" (1887), "Pamiat' Azova" (1890), "Rossia" (1897), the battleship "Imperator Pavel I"(1912), the mine layer "Amur"(1909), the training ship "Verniy"(1896), submarine "Dolphin" and "Minoga".

The Central Naval Museum opens a series of exhibitions and starts the publication of a new catalogs series "Gallery of painting". The regular exhibition dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the Alexander Karlovich Beggrov birth.

March 18, 2016 at a branch of the Central Naval Museum opened an exhibition dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Russian submarine fleet.

In 2016 there is 160th anniversary of the Crimean War and the 210th anniversary of the birth of Vice-Admiral V.A. Kornilov.

The exhibition dedicaded to the 50th anniversary of the voyage of the detachment of nuclear submarines naval fleet of the Soviet Union. The exhibition presents a model submarine K-133 and K-116 involved in the round the world cruise. The exhibition includes personal belongings and gifts of I. Morozov, the Hero of the Soviet Union, Captain 1st Rank .

An exhibition "Russia raises sails" has been opened in the exhibition complex of the Central Naval Museum. This is exhibition of works by the artist I.P. Pshenichnogo and dedicated to the 315th anniversary of the School of Mathematical and Navigational Sciences.

On November 27, the day of the 310th anniversary of creation of the marine infantry of Russia, the Central Naval Museum opened an exhibition "Where we are there is the Victory!", which presents paintings, drawings and sculptures, models of assault ships and boats, military banners of marine infantry units, personal belongings of marines, their clothing items and many other things.

October 1, an exhibition dedicated to the development of diving equipment was opened in the Central Naval Museum. It presents unique items from the CNM collection, as well as specimens of modern diving and rescue equipment of such domestic manufacturers as JSC "CAMPO" and LLC Research and Production Company North-Western Shipping Agency.

12 August 2015 marks the 15th anniversary of the tragic loss of the crew of the nuclear submarine "Kursk". The exhibition "To the memory of Nuclear Submarine Kursk" deployed in Submarine D-2 Narodovolets, a branch of the Central Naval Museum, is dedicated to this sad date.

In 2015 there is the 300th anniversary of the founding by Peter I of the Admiralty Naval Hospital, now the First Order of Lenin Naval Hospital, and the 75th anniversary of the Naval Medical Academy.

Seven decades have passed since the day when the act of complete and unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany was signed in Karlshorst, a suburb of Berlin. In people's memory the feat of the Soviet people accomplished by them in the name of freedom and independence of their homeland will never fade.

An exhibition "The Cruiser Aurora in the history of the Fatherland" has been opened in the exhibition complex of the Central Naval Museum, which presents the exhibits of a branch of the Central Naval Museum on board the cruiser "Aurora", which is now under scheduled maintenance. The makers of the exhibition made every effort to convey the atmosphere of the legendary cruiser to the museum halls.

The exhibition deployed in the visitors' area is dedicated to the history of naval artillery.

In celebration of the 310th anniversary of the Central Naval Museum branch of the Central Naval Museum "Submarine D-2 "Narodovolets" was presented by the historic installation "I have the Honor!"by the 115th anniversary of the Russian-Japanese war.

October 19, 2018, in the branch of the Central Naval Museum " Submarine D-2 "Narodovolets "(Vasilievsky island, Skipper canal, 10) opened the exhibition "White ships of the Empire. To the 100th anniversary of the end of the First world war".

The Central Naval Museum has prepared a mobile exhibition based on the materials from its collection, allowing the visitors to peruse visually the history of the national nuclear submarine fleet and to feel pride in the nuclear submarine fleet of modern Russia.
